The broken Umbrella

The Broken Umbrella

"I'll fix you."

A little girl spots a broken and abandoned umbrella lying in a puddle and reaches out to help him. She tells him,

" I will mend your broken arms,

I will wash and cleanse your wounds.

I will Fix you and make you new."

With most of last week being dull and moody with a cold spell and sudden spurts of showers, I was inspired to write this idea while traveling my usual journey. This beautiful and Good Samaritan like heart is what's missing in people today. What we live in now is a world of Self, Encompassed by technology, social networks and anything that makes us feel good, even if it means treading on others and their dreams.

Self Character Sheet

Really enjoyed a fun challenge for Character Design Page, that II was fortunate to be a part of by God's grace. The task was to Imagine myself as a character and do some expressions of myself, thus creating a Character Sheet. Was able to play around quite a bit. Have a great scope of improvement and push it even further, Hope you all like it.

Window Shoppers

"That dress would look so good on Mummy, Right daddy?"
"Yes, it will honey."
Happened to be passing by while eavesdropping on this conversation between a father and daughter at a mall last weekend. As an aspiring artist, I believe one of the greatest gifts we have is to visualize. It helped in making the greatest scientific discoveries to climbing the Everest in our lives or even creating something purely unique and innovative. We all have the gift of creating something, whether it be an artist with his painting, a chef with his cooking or a musician with his melodies. Our greatest gift of visualizing helps us to break boundaries, let go of the ordinary and traverse much beyond what we would like to see. This young girl definitely visualized how her mother would look through the dress. Definitely, one of God's greatest gifts.

Mummy, Here....

"Mummy, here have this..."

This drawing was conceived from a beautiful moment between a 3 year old trying to feed her mother at a restaurant. How many times would there have been moments where our mothers waited up to see if we were satisfied, comfortable with what we ate or even painstakingly labor away in the kitchen after their day jobs to put food on our plates. They never have a weekend, yet they labor in love for their loved ones to feed them so that they can watch them grow to be amazing. This one act by this
child would have turned the world around for this smiling mother.

Raptor

Raptor- was one of my very few, if not only foray into doing villain characters. It's always fun to draw and animate villain characters, ( i read this somewhere) because they display a multidimensional personality that makes them more interesting to work on. The idea for Raptor came from a colored Parrot who becomes a bad-ass villain who terrorizes space. This is connected to some of my Character Cards posts with Kiera and Space Dawg. Enjoy

Perfect Little Angels

How many times have we noticed little kids at Birthday parties going all crazy just before the lights from the candles go out. If we look closely, the desire to be the center of attention, starts really early. Everyone wants to be important, so conjured this idea from a recent kiddy B'day party I attended.
